Vehicle Description
There's a hierarchy when it comes to 1965 Ford Mustang bodies, and
the 2+2 is king. This was inaugural year for the highly sought
after fastback, so we really get excited to see one that has all
the right upgrades, like super-slick paint, a five-speed, and a
fuel-injected 302 V8.
Crisp lines, great detailing, and sporty sheetmetal make this one
timeless. A bright shade of red is always a great choice on a
Mustang, but this one goes even further. A solid investment in the
Ruby Red paint is a multi-stage application that has a deep luster
and a wonderful metallic shine. It's great for highlighting the
fastback's dramatic long hood/short deck design. Plus, these always
had the best profiles with the race-ready rear window slats. And
when they invested in the paint and body, they also made sure that
the brightwork had extra shine to go with the metallic paint. Plus,
they added some tasteful upgrades such as the crystal-clear
headlights and Vision torque thrust style alloys to round-out this
upgraded bright presentation.
The appeal of the interior is as clear as black and white,
literally. There was an investment here later in life, and you
instantly know this by how much fresher it feels. But more than
just look good, this is a true driver's classic. That's why your
left hand will love the upgraded wood and chrome steering wheel,
and your right one is instantly attracted to the Hurst shifter. And
have you counted the gears on this yet?
When you pop the hood, Mustang fans will instantly get excited
about the motor. The larger 302 cubic-inch V8 wasn't available
until later years, and we all know it would be decades before the
large fuel injection unit would be on top of a pony car motor. But
this first-year fastback couldn't resist these upgrades to go with
its speedy image. In fact, this is exactly what you want in a
custom coupe. The motor is a fresh crate block with less than 5k
miles on it. To that they added a BBK cold air intake, GT40 upper
intake, and long tube headers that feed the growling Flowmaster
dual exhaust. And you are in complete control over this big power
V8 and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to the upgraded Borg Warner
T5 five-speed manual transmission. There are more desirable
upgrades that include an aluminum driveshaft and front disc brakes
(please call for the full details.)
A rare and speedy red fastback that has the enhanced V8 to back up
its enhanced appearance. A package like this will always be in
short supply and high demand, so you better hurry if you want to
make it yours. Call today!!!
