This 1994 Mercedes-Benz E36 is a rare two-door example of a largely forgotten but classic AMG. Offered from 1993 until 1996, not many were made, though no one seems to have exact production numbers. Equipped with a 3.6 liter twin-cam inline-six making a healthy 276 HP.These pillarless W124 coupes are arguably some of the most elegant “modern” MB products out there, and remains so even with a butch AMG bodykit and 190 Evo-style wheels. Photos are on the small size, so judging the condition of paint and bodywork is difficult, but what can be made out looks very good. Underhood sits an AMG M104.941 3.6 liter six with factory output of ~276 HP at 5750 RPM and 284 lb. ft. of torque at 4000. Developed from a more pedestrian MB twin cam, changes included forged pistons, specific manifolds, cam profiles and more. Interestingly, AMG gave 276 as the baseline for HP, and claimed that up to ten more being available was attributable to the engine’s largely hand-assembled nature.
