New Price: Offered here is a very solid all Henry Ford steel 1934 Ford Cabriolet. This car was discovered in a garage in the San Fernando Valley, in Southern California in a very dry climate. The owner of this vehicle owns a reputable / long established classic vehicle restoration business in Monrovia, California. This Cabriolet is one of his personal cars. He states the car is remarkably sound without rust and most likely had one re-paint back in the 1950's which remains as it is pictured here today.
Recent upgrades by the owner include a 12 volt electrical system. Power comes by a fresh 1949 to 1953 Ford flathead V/8 which was rebuilt approximately 2k miles ago. The rebuild included a stroked Merc crank plus a mild street camshaft. A new radiator and new water pump were also installed. The engine is matched to a rebuilt 3-speed manual transmission with Lincoln-Zephyr gears. The car performs outstanding and runs down the road effortlessly.
The interior seat has been completely rebuilt as new from the bottom-up and a new soft top has been installed for the price of $4k. New door panels are on the way and will come with this sale.
Interesting Note: This '34 Ford was a class winner at the Grand National Roadster Show in 2007 for "The Coolest Vintage Open Car."
