Vehicle Description
A super-sharp exterior decked out with unusually detailed accents
combines with great features both inside and out to make this 1956
Ford F-100 an absolute standout among modded classic trucks. It's
got plenty of smooth running power under the hood, as well as some
well-chosen upgrades that give it excellent road manners to go
along with its outstanding curb appeal.
The dark blue metallic shade this classic truck wears will attract
your attention from far off and as you draw closer, your
appreciation for the craftsmanship it displays will only grow. The
airbrushed flames extending backwards from its front end give the
appearance that this Ford has passed through fire and only come out
the stronger for it, and the turquoise highlights add a magnetic
3-D effect to the work. Unlike many modded trucks, the badging has
been left in place and these aftermarket and factory elements
actually coexist very effectively. The look of the detailed Ford
and V8 emblems contrasted by the painted front grille and bumper is
killer and if you step to the back, you'll also be impressed by the
custom lettering on the tailgate. You'll find clear glass on all
sides of the cabin, surrounded by rubber seals that look to have
all been recently installed. The contrasting steel plates on the
floorboards are yet another great detail on a vintage truck that's
got more than its fair share of them.
A very attractive, well-executed interior sits inside the doors,
with a plush-looking, gray tweed bench seat at its forefront that's
very comfortable and fresh-looking. Well-prepped smooth blue steel
surrounds the inside of the cabin, and just as with the exterior,
there's plenty to admire here. The Lecarra steering wheel looks
awfully inviting on its tilt column, and just beyond it, the dash
area holds a set of white faced AutoMeter gauges in its cluster,
whose gray color is matched by the glove box and ash tray. In-dash
vents sit on each side to cool the cabin via air conditioning
that's in top form. A Blaupunkt AM/FM/CD stereo has been seamlessly
fitted into the center of the dash to handle your audio needs. The
bed area in back is very sharp, with diamond plate walls and a
floor lined with fresh looking wood planks and clean steel ribbing
combining for a great look.
There's one seriously clean engine compartment underneath that
masterpiece of a hood. A 350 V8 dominates inside and with the inner
fenders modified and every visible wire neatly routed, it's really
displayed effectively. Rightly so, as it's carrying plenty of
killer details of its own. A one of a kind polished aluminum air
cleaner bearing flames to match the exterior sits on top of a
4-barrel carb and chrome valve covers and a chrome alternator add
even more impact to its look. The engine runs very smooth and
sounds great as it exhales into its headers, pairing with a
solid-shifting TH350 automatic transmission to make up a low-effort
drivetrain that propels this classic pickup with enthusiasm. A
Mustang II front end has been added to the mix, providing both
power rack and pinion steering and front disc brakes, so not only
is this vintage truck a strong straight-line performer, but it also
handles far more precisely than in its original configuration, and
rides worlds better as it cruises on its 15" Centerline wheels
wrapped with Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires. Take a look below and
you'll see an undercarriage that's reassuringly solid.
The combination of outstanding curb appeal, comfortable driving
