Vehicle Description
Here's a beautiful full midnight muscle machine. We know you
already loved this 1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible before you saw
the powerful 400 V8, four-on-the-floor, and plenty of other great
features.
The 1969 Pontiac Firebird was one of the first to break the line of
a pony car size with muscle car prowess, and this one amplifies
that aggression. After all, that slick black draws instant
attention to the creases in the straight sheet metal. This
highlights everything from the full-width spoiler to the extended
beak-like front end. Plus, the dual hood scoops and red badging
informs everyone else that this one is out for blood. We especially
love the red brake calipers glowing from behind the special black
Foose five-point wheels. It's a total package that makes this
custom classic look like pure aggression.
The black folding roof is newer, and so it's part of this full
midnight package. When you take it down, it should be no surprise
that what's underneath is just as dark. While this is a factory
black interior, you can see there have been some nice recent
investment, including newer seat covers. But more than just the
correct color, this one has all the right features, too. It has
great factory pieces like bucket seats and a premium center
console, as well as nice upgrades like the AM/FM/cassette stereo
with digital tuner. Plus, Pontiac's factory steering wheel gives
you a full view of the deeply recessed gauges, and the Hurst
shifter is just calling out for your right hand in all that
darkness.
The top motor for the first-generation Firebird was the 400
cubic-inch V8, so it's great to have that displacement under the
hood. The engine is presented exceptionally well with the air
topper, valve covers, alternator, upgraded March pulleys, and much
more radiating from within the dark engine bay. This V8 is a legend
in Pontiac circles for being a terrific street machine, and it only
gets better with a nice upgrade to Quick Fuel four-barrel
carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, aluminum heads, MSD
ignition. Plus, Doug's headers add even more power as they feed the
rumbling X-pipe dual exhaust. The best part is you are in complete
control of the power and its soundtrack thanks to the Muncie M20
four-speed manual transmission. And the upgrades don't end there.
Four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors mean
superior stopping power. Plus, the power steering and modern
performance tires mean you are in complete control of this beastly
bird.
A first-gen Firebird with all the right features for a serious
street machine, and even droptop appeal added in, too. So yes, you
do need to hurry to grab this deal. Call now!
