Exceptionally well-done 1964 Cloud III convertible conversion on an original USA-market left-hand drive final-series Cloud. Following meticulous workmanship in England, it was brought back to the states and has been in a private collection since. Of course, the $250K conversion would never have been done on a Cloud that had any rust or damage in its history. Finished in traditional Claret with natural leather and top, the car has consistent gaps, excellent door fit, perfect brightwork and beautifully refinished wood.
Our shop completely overhauled the engine and attended to other driveline and brake renovations, producing a Cloud III that drives as well as it looks. The conversion featured structural reinforcements in critical body areas and invested particular attention to the convertible top fit and operation. We also overhauled the air conditioning system with modern components so the car is comfortable in any weather.
One of the forty or so Cloud dropheads that were built by Mulliner command upwards of $600,000 today, while this close cousin is available for a fraction of that, and consequently could be enjoyed more frequently as well!
