Vehicle Description
Do you have one of those friends that knows how to have a good time
no matter where they go or what they're doing? They're athletic.
They run and ride and hike and climb, yet they clean up pretty good
when it's time to hit town for dinner or to head out for some music
and drinks. This truck is a lot like them.
This Jimmy also knows how to have a good time. It's strong and
athletic in the woods but cleans up pretty good too. Rolling city
streets on those 33x12.50s makes a statement. You could even pull
the back off and take in the downtown view topless from your
rolling couch in the back seat. The black paint job looks good, it
was built to be a show piece, but we know you won't want to use it
as one either. That's because it's an adventure truck. But the
truck has been treated well and is still in good condition. The
bumpers and the rockers are still straight. The fender wells are
still sharp and clean with only minor dings in the brightwork
outlining them. Up front, there is a nice brush guard which
protects the grill with its red GMC badge and it provides a perfect
mounting place for the LED light bar.
Open the door and climb on in. Use the grab handle for an assist up
because there are no ground clearance steeling running boards on
this truck. Have a seat and check it out. The first thing you
notice is that you have a commanding view of your surroundings.
Those cloth high-back buckets are downright comfortable too and a
molded rear bench seat has a lot in common with your living room
couch. There are all the usual safety and luxury features here,
plus a couple unusual ones too. 4-WD, a removable roof, let's call
the light bar "adaptive lighting", and of course power windows and
locks, power steering and brakes, tilt and cruise. Would the air
conditioning be called a "climate control" system if you were using
it with the roof off? A center console provides a nice armrest, a
place for your drinks, and a whole bunch of room inside it for
other stuff. The tailgate folds down for use as a picnic bench,
work bench, or stage for a guitar player and singer when its backed
in around a bon-fire.
The drivetrain on this truck is Professional Grade, GMC. The engine
is a tried and true, 350 cubic inch V8 that makes plenty of power
to get the job done. It runs back through a 3-speed automatic trans
and 4-WD transfer case to solid axles on leaf springs front and
rear. There is a trailer hitch for your towing pleasure, and while
the 33X12.50s give it some extra ground clearance, all signs
indicate that this truck has been treated well and that the running
gear is in good condition. It's clean underneath, like it's never
seen serious mud. The skid plates don't look like they have ever
skidded on anything, and the exhaust hasn't scraped on anything
(but it's pretty loud with only those straight through
mufflers).
Check out this GMC Jimmy. Then take it home with you and head out
for some good times with it.
