Vehicle Description
This is not your average CJ5. When this Jeep rolls into an event,
people notice. It stands tall, is dressed sharp and is ready to
rock. It's like those people that walk into a room and bring an
energy with them that steps the party up a notch. Check out the
energy this Jeep brings and see what you think.
This Jeep is among the last of the short-wheelbase CJ5s. Their
maneuverability and light weight made them very desirable for off
road use and also fun to sport around town in. Visibility in
traffic is great as it stands tall on those 33s mounted on American
Racing wheels and it looks great in that dark green paint which is
not your average paint job. It is obviously the work of an expert
craftsman with access to a nice spray booth and the resulting
quality is outstanding. There are new front and rear bumpers with a
trailer receiver in the rear one so that you can mount a bike rack
in it, tow a jet ski or fishing boat, or whatever else you wish
with it. The soft top, doors, and spare tire cover are all new
Bestop pieces and there is a new spare tire mount that works
smoothly too.
Swing that spare out of the way and drop the tailgate, and you will
find a nicely detailed out cargo area ready for coolers or dogs or
people sitting on the sides, hanging on to the roll bar to make the
trip from the campsite to the waterfront or maybe the skeet range.
Up front the quality of workmanship continues with a beautiful
3-spoke wooden steering wheel and seats reupholstered with new
Rugged Ridge seat covers. The dash looks showroom new with the
fresh paint, controls that have been nicely detailed out and
upgraded Autometer gauges. Also upgraded is the stereo. It is ready
to bring the sounds to the party with an aftermarket unit that is
iPod compatible pumping the music out through Acoustick speakers
mounted behind the shifter and behind the roll bar. The floors are
lined throughout and there are Jeep floor mats as well as diamond
plate trim pieces inside both doors.
Under the hood of this Jeep you will find a neat and clean engine
bay with a nicely upgraded 327 cubic inch V8 providing the power.
Underneath that polished Edelbrock air topper is a Carter AFB
competition series 4-barrel carb which is feeding an Edelbrock
Performer RPM intake manifold. Finned Edelbrock valve covers look
great in black and brushed aluminum. Long tube headers feed
directly into side pipes for a great look and an awesome sound. A
new brake booster and master cylinder provide the pressure to the
front disc brakes and assure proper brake function while new belts,
hoses, plugs, cap, and wires assure reliability. Power flows back
through a 4-speed manual transmission to the transfer case and then
to solid axles mounted on leaf springs front and rear with manual
locking hubs in the front. Goodyear Wrangler 33/12.50s all around
mounted on those American Racing wheels get to power to the
ground.
Come on down and check out this super sharp CJ5. Ask your
salesperson about all the build receipts. Then take it home and
head out for some adventures with it.
