Vehicle Description
Exceptionally well preserved in a stunning all-blue presentation -
that's what you get with this 1988 Chevrolet 3500 dually. And this
loaded hauler deserves the right home because of how significant it
is.
This was the first year for the new style Chevy C/Ks. It's a design
that was so sleek and interesting, that you can still see echoes of
it in the brand new Silverados. Then again, people also will never
believe the truck is thirty years old with this level of
presentation. The bodywork is so straight that you know this was
only lightly used for hauling (if ever), and all the extra lights
on the roof and tailgate still work. Even the low mileage is
believed to be original. The original Dark Huron Blue has been
given a professional respray. So not only is it a color that looks
good in modern times, but also it has the level of luster you'd
expect on a new pickup. And yes, as a dual rear wheel (dually)
pickup, it comes with beefy factory features to make it a terrific
hauler, like the 8-lug wheels. And this one has been upgraded for
extra ability with features like an integrated side step, full
electric hookup on the trailer hitch, and towing mirrors that come
with the sale. Plus, the newer bedliner means you can get to work
without making up this well-preserved extra-duty truck.
The blue cloth interior is a great complementing color to the deep
blue exterior. It has the kind of preserved look that once again
leads us to believe the low mileage is accurate. You have all the
right factory features like the grippy steering wheel on a tilt
column and power windows. Plus, there are nice upgrades like the
air conditioning that's now blowing cold from modern R134a. And the
added tach is exactly what you want when it's time to tow the big
stuff.
Under the hood is the original 454 cubic-inch V8. This big block
powerhouse is exactly what you want when using this dually to its
fullest. This is a long-standing torque monster from GM, and it
gets even better on a modern classic like this, because it received
fuel injection right from the factory. And speaking of established
power, these 3500-series trucks used GM's TH400 three-speed
automatic transmission because they have proved to be the stoutest
gearboxes over the decades. And more than just capable, this is
also quite comfortable going down the road with power steering,
independent front suspension, front disc brakes, and cruise
control.
Complete with the original window sticker and owner's manual
packet, you know how rare it is to find a classic hauler that's
this sleek and so well preserved. So if this significant 3500
dually has appeal to you, it's time to hurry up before it's gone
forever. Call today!!!
