Vehicle Description
These final year C3s are desirable for plenty of upgraded factory
features. So when you combine that with a terrific color combo,
this 1982 Chevrolet Corvette is one of the most affordable ways to
get a turn-key classic that that's a standout in any crowd.
This is an original black car - always a desirable feature for
Corvettes. It has been given a re-spray about mid-life, and that
helps give it a little extra luster in the sunlight. This combines
with straight body panels to showcase the sharp edges and rounded
fenders we love on these C3s. And because this is a full midnight
package on the body, you really get to see some great details like
the bright dual exhaust tips and the N90 aluminum wheels. More than
just look menacing, this one earns its place in history as the
final year before General Motors shut the books on the C3.
The factory-correct red leather seats look absolutely amazing
against the black exterior - like lava flowing from the inside. Red
carpets, door panels, center console, dash cover, and fold-down
bucket seats - it's all suspected to be original, and everything
looks like it was cared for by a true Corvette enthusiast. The
T-tops mean you can easily share this terrific interior with the
world. It's loaded with options like power windows, power steering,
tilt/telescopic steering column, cruise control, and the factory
AM/FM/cassette stereo. You even have provisions for power locks,
power mirrors, and factory air conditioning. But your favorite
factory feature on this survivor-style interior will be the factory
CB radio. Not only does it truly represent the era, but also
Corvette enthusiasts will be quick to point out it's one of the
rarest options from 1982.
The 1982 drive train was a preview of the new C4 Corvette. The
Cross Fire Injected 350 cubic-inch V8, was torquey, powerful, and
surprisingly efficient thanks to a new 700R4 four-speed automatic
overdrive transmission as standard equipment. Not only does this
look refreshingly stock, but it's also believe to be original to
the car. The offset air cleaner is an immediate sign of this
fuel-injected motor, and you'll be impressed by how tidy everything
is and how well-maintained all the vitals are. It starts quickly
and easily, makes a fantastic rumble from the dual exhaust, and
snaps through the gears with authority - all making for an
entertaining V8 cruise. It also helps that there's a fully
independent sports suspension and a disc brake behind each one of
those cool alloy wheels.
This is an interesting classic with great standout features. It
only gets better when you realize that this total vintage package
is available at such an affordable price. Call now!
