Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1973 BMW 2002tii
"roundie." Single-family ownership since 1989 in Tennessee.
Attractive Malaga exterior over medium brown interior. Strong
mechanicals - in fact this is one of the fastest tii's we've driven
in recent memory - no doubt thanks to a documented engine rebuild
in 2012 with minimal mileage since. Older driver-quality repaint
with a few flaws but in the correct color. We believe the paint to
be original in the engine compartment.
The interior is original and unmolested but shows some expected
wear throughout, notably in the drivers side carpet and on the
dash. Minimal rust underneath - we have found some pin holes in the
spare tire well, some filler in the front valance that is starting
to pop out and a quarter sized spot in the driver frame rail by the
pedal box. The body itself appears quite rust-free. This '02 runs
strong and drives well (see video) - it can be used right away as a
daily / weekend driver with little to no work required or it's an
excellent candidate for a straightforward cosmetic restoration.
Several service records including the engine rebuild and other
