Vehicle Description

Lot #679 - This is one of only 26 1969 Z/28s to have received the Legend Award from the American Camaro Association. Legends is the highest level of Camaro judging at the Camaro Nationals. The Legend Award is truly an honor in the Camaro world. Certified authentic by well-known Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance. The original Broadcast Sheet is included, which is normally not the case. As the NCRS Shipping Data Report indicates, the official production date was April 24, 1969. It was shipped to David Varner Chevrolet Company, located in San Francisco, CA, where it spent most of its life. The car was ordered with the following options: tinted glass, center console, spoiler equipment, posi-traction with 3.73 ratio, disc brakes, 4-speed transmission, power steering, special instrumentation, AM radio, Z/21-style trim group and Z/28 special engine and equipment package. This car was treated to a high show-quality rotisserie restoration that is fully documented with photo album, which is included. Many original and NOS parts were used throughout the restoration. It retains all the original sheet metal and the body is very straight with excellent gaps throughout. The car sports its original color combination of LeMans Blue with white stripes. The paint is show-quality and the color is beautiful. The car sits on the correct Rally wheels and Goodyear Wide Tread GT bias-ply E70-15 tires. The car retains the original color black deluxe interior, which is in like-new condition. The detailed trunk compartment is home to the spare tire and jack tools. The engine compartment is factory correct and highly detailed. The car retains the original matching-numbers DZ302 V8 engine. The engine was completely rebuilt and runs excellent. The engine breathes through the correct chambered exhaust, which was found on the earlier built cars. The engine is coupled to the original matching-numbers Muncie 4-speed transmission. The power is transferred through the original matching-numbers 12-bolt rear axle. The undercarriage is factory-correct and highly detailed. This vehicle has been serviced and completely detailed.
