Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1977 Pontiac
Trans Am which is in fantastic overall condition and priced to
sell. This is a factory Trans Am with after market C&C
installed T-Tops. This Trans Am features a nice repaint in
Factory Brentwood Brown with brand new decals, a beautiful Tan
interior, and a nice running 400 Pontiac engine. This Trans
Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of
Brentwood Brown (code 69) over Tan vinyl interior. This is
the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured
above.
Exterior
The Brentwood Brown exterior is in great overall driver condition.
This Trans Am was treated to a professional repaint about 5
years ago in factory Brentwood Brown and still has a nice shine and
gloss, and is smooth to the touch. The new decals were just
installed and look perfect on the car. The paintwork was done
5 years ago but the decals were never installed until 5/2018.
The paint is in great overall driver condition and both
bumpers are in good shape with no flaking or faded paint.
There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable
in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the
photos. There are some rock chips that have been touched up
around the car with color matched touch up paint. The front
bumper nose crest was replaced and so were the front bumper grills.
Tires are literally brand new with less than 300 miles on
them and are correctly sized 225/70/15 and the 15x7" snowflake
wheels are OEM originals which were recently restored with newer
center caps and new lug nuts. All weather stripping and
window sweeps are in great condition. Trunk is very solid and
clean with the original style trunk mat and the original spare
tire. Two rear floor patches were welded in prior to the
repaint.
Interior
The Tan vinyl interior of this Trans Am is in fantastic condition.
The seat covers have been replaced and are in excellent
overall condition with no major wear or rips or tears. The
carpet is like new as well with no major stains, rips, or holes.
The dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading
and the dash bezel is in excellent condition as well. The
dash bezel was professionally restored by "Randy Combs" and really
sets off the interior. The two prong Red Dot AM/FM Original
style stereo was restored with an added auxiliary port for an mp3
player, Ipod, or Cell Phone. This stereo fits in the factory
position so nothing was cut in the dash, and it sounds decent with
the newer 6x9 rear speakers. The 8 track player was bench
tested but has never been hooked up.
The door panels are in overall good condition. The headliner
board and material is missing but all the needed interior plastic
pieces are present and included with the sale and seen in the
photos above. A hard top board or a board with fisher T-Tops
could be used and cut to fit the C&C Tops. They plastic
pieces will need to be dyed and a headliner board will need to be
cut, covered and installed. You can buy the headliner
material and spray glue at Jo-Ann Fabrics for around $40 and
YouTube has plenty of videos of how to install the material on the
fitted board.
The package tray was replaced and in like new condition. All
interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the
clock, and the oil pressure gauge. The blower motor is
currently not operational. The stereo, wipers, and horn all
work. The original C&C T-Top bags are in the trunk and
come with the car. This car has not been smoked in; there is
no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Trans Am appears to be in great mechanical condition and runs
and drives well. The drive train includes a fresh Pontiac 400
engine, a Turbo 350 automatic transmission, Posi traction rear end,
and a year correct Quadrajet carburetor professionally restored by
Cliff Ruggles. We have driven this TA numerous times on the
streets and highways and it always performs well, does not run hot,
rides good, and is a true joy to drive, especially withe the T-Tops
removed on a sunny day. In the video one can observe this car
running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the
car handles and performs well. This Trans Am is a good driver
that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is
no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right
away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do
not pull and stop as they should, and the front brakes were
recently serviced with new brake hoses and calipers and pads.
True 2.5" dual Pypes exhaust was recently added and gives
this TA a nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. Newer
spark plug wires were installed with correct Pontiac wire loom
guides. The gas tank is newer and so are several of the fuel
lines. The battery is also newer. Also, the engine is
exceptionally clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the
photos. This TA has been loved and meticulously cared for by
its previous owners and several wear items have been replaced.
The outstanding way this TA looks and drives is a true
testament to prior owners care and love for this special TA.
