Being offered is a beautiful 1968 Chevelle SS396 with all the right stuff. It is a real SS with VIN starting in 138. This vehicle has restored and presents beautifully. This Chevelle is running a period correct NOM 396 and Muncie 4-speed transmission. Vehicle is nicely equipped with power steering and power disc brakes. Included is the Protecto Plate showing the car was sold new in Texas along with registrations showing long term ownership in Georgia. If you are looking for a 60s muscle car to invest your money into (given the condition, color combination, engine/transmission combination, the pure curb appeal and drivability) this is a car you should consider. Details
Car is finished with an stunning new black base/clear coat paint job, buffed to a high sheen along with new black interior, including sport steering wheel, standard bench seat, and a cool Muncie OE T handle shifter. The sheet metal is straight and all the panel gaps are factory or better. Floors appear to be original and are in great condition. Frame and undercarriage on the car are very clean and tidy. Vehicle is equipped with new exhaust system including long tube headers and sounds great. New Boss 18” rims and tires makes for that perfect stance and killer looks. The vehicle has new weather stripping, window fuzzies and gaskets.
The drive line consists of a rebuilt along with a NOM period correct 396 rebuilt engine, set up to make 350 HP+ along with M20 Muncie 4 speed transmission and a 12 bolt posi track rear. A Holley carb mated to a high-rise aluminum intake, new Optima battery, MSD ignition, new belts and pulleys, hoses, etc, all complete this highly detailed engine bay. Trunk is factory correct and includes spare tire and bumper jack.
This SS is a pleasure to drive…..it is also fast. It steers straight and under hard braking stays straight. If properly taken care of and maintained, this muscle car represents a good investment and should not decline in value. This car turns heads everywhere it goes and will provide years of pride in ownership.
