Excellent Running Condition !
Note
{this body model is the same as 442 - only badges & hubcaps
change.
NOTE for 442 resto-interested, you will never have a car
this good for less than $50-75k; this car plus the ~$750 for
badges, rims, etc will cost you far less than half that for a 442-
and you will have a great vehicle, not some cobbled unit.}
All original body & interior, orig paint & vinyl
roof. [NO replacement body panels !]
ADDITIONAL PICS added July 15, the car given its annual cleanup last week. On a dark overcast day, the brilliance of the shine of the ORIGINAL paint and chrome is astounding. Seven years of Laguna Beach's Donut Derelict and other Sat. cruises failed to produce an ORIGINAL of this good a condition. Even some of the megabuck resto's didn't look any better. This car is ready for the cruises and can be driven anywhere, without anything more than gas. These pictures attest to the care with which this car was treated. There isn't a 50yr-old musclecar out there that's in any better ORIGINAL condition.
Engine mods: Original Rocket 350: Edelbrock Intake, Holly 4bbl, Hebert Cam. Oversized factory front swaybar, factory rear swaybar, HD springs. Original TH300 2spd trans replaced @ 93k miles with TH350. Dual exhausts.
PS, PB. Rear Window Defroster (no AC - an SF car)
Car is in excellent running condition, engine
strong, compression near factory, as all synthetic lubricants were
used. (After this winter's sleep, car started on first,
crank.) Sounds like the understated muscle cat that it
is.
Interior is black and PERFECT (except for faded
back window shelf). [Driver's seat cover always used, for
protection of seat and driver's bum from hot black vinyl]
Original AM radio (8-track tape player stolen in '71)
Original Factory floor mats, P-side like new !
HISTORY:
Car bought from Story Oldsmobile, Lansing MI [world's largest Olds
dealer] and driven to San Francisco upon owner's graduation from
UofM in Dec. 1968. Car stored under cover in SF for 20+ years. In
mid-70's car was used as a town-driver. (One
sunny summer day 1987 I parked in front of my office building
in the SF Financial District. Two 11-yr olds were walking
down the sidewalk [what they were doing in the heart of the
Financial District one can only guess.] One of them came over and
yelled, "Nice car, Mister!" His accomplice agreed
enthusiastically. The bell rang! If two CA
pre-teens thought it was cool, it WAS cool. It was no longer
the obsolete environmentally-contumelious gas-guzzler behemoth that
dared taxis to cross its path -- IT WAS NOW A CLASSIC
!!! I took it straightaway to my stellar body man and had all
the 'badges' of inner city driving removed and touched up, and
I have treated it with the TLC that a Classic deserves
ever since.)
In 1993, car was moved to Upper Peninsula of MI for
storage when owner re-located to Europe for 10 years. Car has
been driven an average of 250 mi each summer since, spending
remaining time in proper storage on jackstands.
Shop manual & original documents -incl. ProtectoPlate -

Asking $12.9k obo . . . . (Cash talks)
More Photos as weather allows.
(note: NV plate because my business was HQ-ed in Reno. The car stayed in S.F. There were various advantages to having an NV registration in CA.)
