For Sale: 1972 Chevrolet C10 in Charlotte, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

It's no secret that Chevrolet builds some of the most celebrated trucks on the planet. From the AK era forward, every generation has found a solid following and, eventually, firm footing in the collector car world. Over the past few years, we've featured plenty of vintage, ground-pounding bowties, and this stylish Cheyenne Super is just the latest in a series of sweet C/K head turners. Mixing a reliable Chevrolet small block and proven GM 3-speed with timeless 2-tone aesthetics, this road-ready warrior is worthy of EVERY Chevrolet fan's full attention. If you're shopping for a clean classic that mixes modern detailing with purposeful simplicity, take a close look at this Action Line resto-mod!

APPEARANCE

Purchased by its current owner in 1999, this hearty half-ton was a solid cruiser that had managed roughly 100K miles with almost 100% of its original parts. That owner was looking for a fun project and, when he wasn't busy racing, orchestrated a body-off, nut-and-bolt restoration. That project, spanning roughly 15 years, combined a new core support with new fenders and a new bed. And today, wearing a brilliant combination of White and Viper Red 2-stage, this Chevy is an all-American head turner that consistently provides instant red carpet curb appeal!

Factory-equipped with the Cheyenne Super Package, this C10's trim and ornamentation remain largely as the General specified. At the front its body, a mirrored Cheyenne Super bumper hangs LED parking lamps beneath a stainless-trimmed grille, which centers a rich bowtie between modern headlights. At the sides of that grille, Cheyenne Super woodgrain parallels black trim spears to frame chrome door handles, Cheyenne Super fender emblems, a polished fuel cap and LED marker lamps. At the top of those handles, polished mirrors reflect fresh glass that's cased in Cheyenne Super frames while polished wipers reflect a factory antenna. At the back of that greenhouse, a clean Cheyenne Super cargo lamp lights a Viper Red bed. And at the back of that bed, a "CHEVROLET" branded tailgate centers a polished Cheyenne Super latch between LED taillights, polished exhaust tips and a second Cheyenne Super bumper.

POWER

Pop the hood and you'll find a reliable, 350 cubic inch Chevrolet small block that's been professionally rebuilt and fitted with a polished Weiand intake. Revs are created when a K&N X-Stream air cleaner funnels wind in to a coated Holley 4-barrel. At the perimeter of the engine, muted Chevrolet valve covers hang a polished breather over coated Sanderson block huggers. Behind that breather, a reliable points distributor sequences spark between an MSD Blaster 2 coil and loomed Taylor plug wires. At the front of those looms, traditional V-belts spin a polished water pump between a rebuilt alternator, a factory AC compressor and factory power steering. And at the front of those ancillaries, a beefy radiator shrouds a Viper Red fan. Speaking of Viper Red paint, the cast iron mill is fully sorted and ready to roll. And details like a polished fuel filter, a polished thermostat housing and a hot Optima battery mix first-rate looks with first-rate functionality.

PERFORMANCE & DRIVABILITY

Behind that trusty powerplant, a trusty Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed spins a tough 12-bolt axle that's finished with smooth, 3.08 gears. Everything rolls on a factory-style suspension, which has been rebuilt to include drop spindles and lowering springs. Factory power steering makes parking easy and turns a cinch. Power front disc and rear drum brakes provide quick stops. The aforementioned headers feed ceramic-coated pipes, which employ ceramic-coated Genie Turbo mufflers. Power meets the pavement through attractive Rally Wheels, which twist 275/60R15 Performance Radial G/Ts around stainless trim rings and polished center caps. And undercoated floors shade a solid frame that was fully sandblasted and carefully powder-coated during the truck's detailed restoration.

COMFORT

Swivel this cool Chevy's doors and you'll reveal a fresh Cheyenne Super cockpit that's classy in all the right ways. Requisite Red houndstooth spans a broad bench seat, which is secured by upgraded, 3-point belts. In front of that seat, a wood-trimmed Cheyenne Super dash hangs factory-spec telemetry, complete with a tachometer, beside cool air conditioning and direct-fit Custom Autosound audio. Beneath that dash, Cheyenne Super carpet floats bowtie-branded mats between Pioneer kick speakers, amped Custom Autosound subwoofers and Cheyenne Super foot pedals. In front of the driver, a polished Lecarra steering wheel spins a red leather rim. And all that hardware is framed in a trim Cheyenne Super headliner and ornate Cheyenne Super door panels.
