Vehicle Description
If you are looking for a vintage Vette convertible that is
meticulously restored, with a numbers matching 327... then check
out this car. Jump in, turn the key, and drive it home. Or into the
trailer. Because this one is so nice and so spotless that you may
want to collect a few trophies with it before you get it dirty.
I will sing the praises of the details on this car, but you know
the basics already. It is arguably the most beautiful body style of
Corvette ever made. Presented in paint code 974 Rally Red, it leads
with a bright chrome bumper that is just below the hideaway
headlights that splits above and below the knife edge body line
which carries around the whole car. The point of the spear on the
hood has the iconic crossed racing flag emblem front and center. A
white convertible top looks great up or down, but top down motoring
is what this car is all about. There are side vents at the trailing
edge of the front fenders, and those highly desirable side pipes
look great and sound sweet too. Corvette and Stingray badging
appears on the back of the car along with the super sharp chrome of
the back bumper. Brightwork bezels around the marker lights shine
like new, and the car sits on steel wheels with polished trim rings
and Chevy centers.
The interior of this car is completely stock and shows like new.
Open the door and the chrome controls for the window cranks and
door handles shine bright along with the fine chrome piping that
outlines the black panel sections. There is a polished trim strip
that protects the door sill as you step in over those side pipes.
Once you have a seat in those pleated buckets, grab hold of that
deep dish three spoked wooden steering wheel and check out the view
of the hooded dash pod. A 160 MPH speedo and sweep tach are in the
center with fuel, oil pressure, water temp and voltage gauges on
either side of them. That fully functional clock tops the center
section of the dash with the ventilation controls and radio below
it just in front of the shifter for the automatic trans. All the
details are correct and the carpets are protected by floor mats for
cruising the boulevard or driving to a show.
Pop the hood and you will find that numbers matching numbers 327
cubic inch, 300 horsepower engine nestled in a neat and clean
engine compartment. It is topped by a polished chrome air topper
with the Turbo-Fire sticker announcing the engine details.
Everything is stock and correct with the iron as well as the valve
covers embossed with Chevrolet painted the right color orange.
There is a new alternator, belts, and hoses, along with a new A/C
compressor with all new lines. And if you really want to be
impressed, check out the undercarriage of this car. Remember what
we said about looking showroom new? It is. It is all fully restored
with the parts like the shocks and backing plates painted the
correct colors along with new bushings everywhere and it is all
spotlessly clean. Showroom new and show ready. The car sits on
205/75R15 Red line tires all around mounted on those steel wheels
and polished trim rings.
Call or come down and ask your salesperson about the maintenance
records and other documentation that comes with this car. Then if
this is the vintage Vette that you have been looking for, go ahead
and take it home with you.
