THIS IS A REPLICA.
This 1959 Porsche 356 Roadster D RS is finished in Grand Prix
White with Red leather.
Delivered new to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida in March 1990.
Factory built in Vancouver, Canada by Intermeccanica, the first and
longest producing Porsche Replica manufacturer with the best
reputation for quality and innovation.
Their bodies are bonded together with an integrated steel “tube”
frame for a unibody that is strong and durable. (no VW pan
used.)
They are completely factory built, painted, upholstered,
electrical, IRS transmission, brakes etc.
This low milage “D” was first registered in 1990. It has been with
it’s current owner for the last 5 years.
Paint is Porsche 'Grand Prix White' and is factory original. No
accident history or resprays. Some typical rock chips on the front
nose. Good panel fit all around. Doors shut with little effort.
It has a motor that was rebuilt in 2015 by highly respected
Peninsula Automotive in Campbell, California.
Motor is smooth, powerful and dependable, without being ‘overbuilt’
and accessorized unnecessarily. It displaces
approximately 2000 CC and is fed by two, fully rebuilt Weber
(Made in Spain) carburetors. Engine tin is powder coated in the
Porsche Super 90 color scheme. Carb linkage is top of the line
'Gene Berg'.
Fuel pressure regulator and gauge, as Weber's don't like high
fuel pressures.
A complete new clutch.
Interior is 100% leather including seats, doors, and dash. Original
Porsche 356 seats show some patina but have that broken-in baseball
glove feel to them. No dying. Roll up windows. Sigla windshield.
Steering wheel is Vintage Nardi leather bound. Authentic green
gauges.
Top and it’s boot are Hartz cloth.
High performance suspension with anti role bars front and rear and
rear adjustable spring plates on the independent rear
suspension.
Drivers side 3 point Role Over Bar. Two point racing style seat
belts.
4 wheel disk brakes. Factory Fuchs 15x6 inch “flat 6”
alloys with hand painted crests and shod with Pirelli tires.
Complete provenance on every part of this car, from original
purchase paperwork through to the present day. This car has been to
every west coast Werks Reunion with its current owner and has
received nothing but compliments.
An Intermeccanica with the appropriate ‘patina’ for its age, but is
mechanically fresh and sound.
