undercarriage Looking to make some friends green with envy? Then
why not stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars and take a look at this
split bumper 1971 Chevrolet Camaro before taking it home? This
particular example rolled out of GM's Norwood, Ohio assembly plant
during early September 1970. Dressed in Antique Green (code 49),
with white racing stripes, the car's paint and trim are in
excellent condition overall with only a minor blemish visible here
and there. The F-body's windows are clear and intact, the car's
lights are haze-free and crack-free. This car's bodywork is
straight and solid, its engine bay is extremely tidy and the
battery looks new. The car's bumpers fit tightly to the body. It
rolls on Lionhart LH-503 rubber, size 235/45ZR18 at all four
corners. Each tire surrounds a Rev five-spoke chrome wheel. The
tires are in decent condition while the wheels are in excellent
order. Under the hood is a 350 CID V-8 with Edelbrock heads and air
cleaner, a four-barrel carburetor and it has dual exhausts that
exit ahead of the rear axle. It is linked to a Turbo Hydramatic 350
three-speed transmission. Driver convenience features include
air-conditioning, power steering and power brakes but the AC is
currently inoperable but complete. Inside, the car's Jade vinyl
interior (code 778) is in overall very good order. The high-back
bucket seats and rear demi-buckets are in excellent condition while
the matching carpet looks very good. The black headliner is in
better-than-average shape while the factory two-spoke steering
wheel is satisfactory. The inner door panels and wraparound
instrument panel with its woodgrain accents are all in very good
order. Completing the interior is a Pioneer AM/FM stereo with CD
player. The 1971 Camaro received only minor appearance changes from
its 1970 counterpart. Inside, new high-back Strato bucket seats
with built-in headrests replaced the 1970-only low-back seats with
adjustable headrests. The biggest changes came under the hood, due
to a GM-corporate mandate all engines be designed to run on
lower-octane regular-leaded, low-lead, or unleaded gasoline,
necessitating reductions in compression ratios and horsepower
ratings. Dubbed "Super Hugger," the second-generation Camaro was
developed without the rush of the first generation and benefited
from a greater budget justified by the success of the first
generation. Although it was an all-new car, the basic mechanical
layout of the new Camaro was familiar, engineered much like its
predecessor with aunibodystructure utilizing a front subframe,
A-arm and coil spring front suspension, and rear leaf springs. The
chassis and suspension of the second generation were greatly
refined in both performance and comfort; base models offered
significant advances in sound-proofing, ride isolation, and
road-holding. Extensive experience Chevrolet engineers had gained
racing the first-generation led directly to advances in
second-generation Camaro steering, braking and balance. This car is
currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current
mileage on the odometer shows 56,615 miles. It is sold as is, where
is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND
