This beauty of a truck went through a complete nut and bolt
restoration when it only had 50,000 miles on the clock and has only
been driven a little over 1,000 miles since completion. The paint
on this baby is miles deep, and the chrome and stainless shine so
good you could shave in it. This was redone in it's original
Vermillion Red paint and it looks beautiful. If you don't know
already, this era of trucks are your 401k that you don't have to
watch go up and down with the news cycle.
Under the hood is the original 239 Flat Head V8. It may have only
made 100 HP at 3800 RPM's, but there is a cool unique sound to a
Flat Head like no other. This is mated to its original 3 speed
manual transmission with the shifter on the floor. That means that
this was an early production 1950 as mid year the 3 on the floor
went to the "3 on the tree" meaning it was on the column for
everyone younger than about 45 years old that didn't know what that
meant. Seriously though, this all goes out to the original rear end
as well. Once you look underneath this truck you will see that no
expense was spared.
The interior was done in its original colors and again like
everything else, you can see that this is all new and in excellent
shape. This truck came with the heater which was nice on those cold
Midwest and other Northern State mornings, but the really cool and
rare option is the AM radio that this truck was born with. Let's
face it folks, these were work truck and not everyone cared to have
or could afford the radio as an option. This is just one awesome
