The dream 356C for the collector or Porsche enthusiast!

The 356 was created by Ferdinand “Ferry” Porsche, son of Ferdinand Porsche Senior, and was originally conceived as a small, lightweight sports car that shared design characteristics of the Porsche-designed Volkswagen Beetle that was developed prior to WWII. Believed to have taken its name from being the three hundred and fifty sixth Porsche design, the 356 was the first production automobile to bear the Porsche name. Production began in 1948 with the first cars being built with aluminum bodies constructed in Austria; production eventually switched to Germany after Porsche contracted Reutter Coachworks to build the 356 bodies. In 1951, the 356 took a class win at LeMans and thanks to the efforts of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Porsche brand won over motoring enthusiasts from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. The third and final generation 356C was introduced in 1964. Often considered the fully evolved 356 by enthusiasts, the 356C featured upgraded handling and the addition of 4-wheel disc brakes which ensured adequate stopping power. 356 production would come to an end in 1965 to make way for the 900 series line that was also introduced during 1964, but the legacy of the 356 lives on in the hearts of motoring enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.

The 1964 Porsche 356C Coupe by Karmann featured here is finished in its stunning factory correct color combination of Slate Grey over a beautiful red interior. This 356C is finished in highly desirable colors and has just undergone some cosmetic refinishing; it would bring years of enjoyment to any Porsche collector or enthusiast. A 356 from the penultimate year of production, this example is still propelled by its numbers matching drivetrain and is accompanied by its owner’s manual, technical manual, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, tool kit and more! We are proud to offer this gorgeous 356C Coupe to the most discerning collector or enthusiast who appreciates the legacy of this iconic motorcar.
