This Dodge Bros, coupe is first and foremost, a very rare car. The current owner had owned and loved this car for some 40 years, and was his dream car since he was a boy in Helena, Montana when his Father took him to the races, and a car with a #5 on the door won every race. He told his Dad, “someday I'm gonna have a car just like that!” This 1932 Dodge represents that #5 car that left an indelible image on a 5 year old boy...Pretty cool!
The fact is, you just don't see the Dodge coupes of the '30's too often. They were a little larger than the Fords and Chevy's which is kinda nice as the Dodge provides more room in the cabin.
This car has always been kept inside and meticulously maintained, and as such there is no rust in the car. The paint is deep and glossy and has been on the car for 20 years! The bold chrome front grill looks tough and take note of the “Dodge Brothers” badge at the top...Very cool!
The engine  is a 451 CID Indy block based on the iconic Mopar 440. It starts and runs excellent, and with fuel injection, you can expect not only top performance, but certain reliability.
The automatic overdrive transmission is stout too as it was built to withstand 1000 horsepower. The Differential assembly is Corvette independent, so it's not only strong, but provides excellent ride characteristics.
The interior blends nicely with the exterior of the coupe, and provides some nice contrasting appointments such as the dash panel, and the inner window trim.
All of these elements I've mentioned fuse together nicely to form a well rounded, bold looking, unique Hot Rod, but what really makes the '32 Coupe keep a smile on your face is the way it drives! Sure, the engine, transmission and differential provide strong, great sounding, smooth, high performance, but the way this coupe handles the road, steers, and brakes all while providing comfortable seating, A/C when it's hot, and some nicely placed options such as power windows, and a tilt column with canceling turn signals, well, this is a nice bench mark for other coupes of the 1930's.
Nice history, all steel, bold styling, excellent performance and drive-ability, comfortable, and very rare. This coupe may just have it all.
