1972 Chevy C-10 Short wheel base big window
(Very Rare Government Issued Military Utility truck)
This 1972 Chevy C10 is possibly 1 of the last remaining Army Issued
C10 trucks commissioned by the US government back in the early
1970's. The truck is very well preserved and still sports the
original VIN tag, data sheet, and two additional government issued
ID plates (all shown in pictures). The truck has been partially
restored to where it looks old and has a nicely aged patina, but
the entire drive train and running gear has been gone through and
serviced. Additionally new tires, brakes, upholstery, exhaust, and
coils/shocks have been added. The patina on this truck is so well
sustained that it was given a coat of satin clear coat to preserve
the current body finish. The body has its fair share of
imperfections but it all goes with the look and feel of the truck.
All in All The truck is a great runner and drives excellent. It
starts, runs, brakes, steers, and drives as it should. It has good
acceleration and sounds nice with the dual 2 chamber 40 series
flow-master mufflers. It looks a lot older and more deteriorated
than it actually is. The body was purposely left alone to provide
that un-restored look. This truck is 98% rust free. I say that with
a grain of salt because i did find a few spots on the rocker panels
that showed a little rust. Nothing i was concerned with because
again it goes with the theme of the truck.
