Carrera is one of the most symbolic cars created EVER. The
silhouette of the 911 is known world wide and with the 993 chassis
introduced in 1994, Porsche produced a legend, not only in the
production car world but within the scopes of motorsport racing,
the 911 oozes with the finest pedigree and hails from generations
of racing nostalgia. The 993 was created when Porsche was a small
manufacturer in Stuttgart only producing 911s, handmade, and only
producing 60 993's a day. Compared to its predecessor the 964, the
993 was an improvement in every way. The 993 is powered by a 3.6
liter air -cooled flat six producing 275 horsepower for the 94-95
models, in 96-98 Porsche introduced Varioram which resulted in more
power delivery in the mid range and power was up to 285 horses.
Torque comes in at 243 ft/lbs at 5k rpm. 0-60mph stats fall within
the low 5 second range depending on conditions, mated to the first
6 speed manual Porsche ever produced. Top speed close to 170mph,
and with a wider track and a twenty percent stiffer chassis than
the 964, this autobahn rocket was a legend in the making. To this
day, the 993 is the last mohegan of air coooled Porsches. The 993
was the ulitmate balance of the classic 911 meeting somewhat modern
technology. The 993 was created to be a monument of of purity and
authenticity, not something for everyone but everything for
