Vehicle Description
This restored 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS tribute, is the car that set
the standard for this iconic name. So when you can get it in slick
sliver with a mean big block 396 V8 under the hood, an A/C
interior, and four-on-the-floor, it has the all the right moves to
be the perfect vintage coupe you'll want to show off
everywhere.
This is a stunning color combo. We should probably call the color
Quicksilver for the way the modern clear coat rolls off the iconic
sheet metal. The reason why everything looks so crisp is because
this has less than 30 miles on it since it competed a frame-off
restoration. That's also why the bright work is excellent - from
the thin chrome bumpers, to the full window surrounds, to the
delicate side trim that covers the flared fenders and rockers. Even
the Rally wheel package seems extra bright. But this Camaro also
has a dark side. The silver does a great job of highlighting the
black Bumblebee stripe, blacked-out grille, deep chin spoiler,
black vinyl roof, and blacked-out tail panel. So this Super Sport
tribute looks the part by far more than just its proper spoiler and
SS badging.
We love it when the exterior trim is also a preview of the interior
color - it's just a nice sign of a well-coordinated classics. Plus,
you can instantly tell there was a ton spent in restoring the
inside. Everything looks clean, black, and fresh, including the
door panels, carpeting, and dash panel. The low-back bucket seats
look like they are straight from '67, and in-between them is the
desirable center console. Plus, in back you have the rare fold-down
rear seat as true factory option! There's also an AM/FM/cassette
stereo to keep everyone entertained. You can even cruise with the
windows down thanks to cold R134a air conditioning. But while all
those features make this inviting for family and friends, the
moment you sit down, you know this one was specially built for the
driver. This feeling starts with the wood rimmed three-spoke
steering wheel. It gives you a clear view of the dual pods that
house the large speedometer and tachometer. There are more
auxiliary gauges mounted in the middle. Just in front of that is
the Hurst shifter. That tells you this Camaro will let you choose
comfortable cruising when you want, but it's always ready for
performance shifting when it's time to get serious.
Open the hood to a 396 cubic-inch big block that was rebuilt during
the restoration to take on the streets. This fresh V8 was balanced
and blueprinted, and it has been fortified with go-fast goodies
like Competition Extreme Energy roller camshaft, ARP bolts, open
chamber rectangular port heads, and a four-barrel carburetor. And
this full package is rated at 375 horsepower. So, while you love
all the correct decals on the shiny air grabber and valve covers,
there's also true quality behind the style. Plus, you get complete
control over this monster motor and its thunderous dual exhaust
soundtrack thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. As you
check out the undercarriage photos, you're going to notice the
fresh powder coated frame and the tidy quality that comes from
investing heavily in an icon like this. Plus, you'll also see nice
features like the front sway bar, large rear traction bars, power
steering, and front disc brakes.
This is a seriously well executed machine that's turn-key ready. So
