For Sale: 2004 Dodge Viper in Lutz, Florida

Vehicle Description

The Viper was already meant for hardcore drivers, but it takes the truly top echelon of enthusiasts who want an 700+ hp machine like this 2004 Dodge Viper Heffner Twin Turbo.

The third-generation Viper roadster is a more desirable car for many people. It's the roadster that gives you a full folding roof, real windows, and other creature comforts to make this a little more friendly for everyday driving. That did not mean this Viper lost its predatory attitude. You see it in the long sleek hood with plenty of vents for the monster underneath; the scalloped sides with side exhaust pipes; and the huge factory chrome wheels that are larger in the rear to remind you where all the power meets the ground. The original factory Bright Silver Metallic is a beautiful color that has a terrific shine on this ultra-low mileage example. Of course, the black folding roof works with the dark headlight background and dark Viper badges to have some nicely coordinated extra aggression. In fact, while it's hard to call any Viper a sleeper, the only exterior clue about the extra power in this one is the subtle twin turbo markings above the Viper's fender badging.

Inside is more of that stealthy feeling. Just like any good Viper, the interior completely envelopes the driver with the leather sport seats. When you sit down, your right arm fits so that your favorite resting spot is right on top of the gear leaver. But this redesigned third-gen space now has plenty of real sound-deadening materials. A full package of comfort and convenience features mean that Dodge's snake is no longer purely a primitive beast. It includes ice-cold air conditioning, power windows, power locks, tilt steering wheel, dual airbags, power steering, and an attractive center stack with a full array of white-faced gauges. The factory 310-watt AM/FM stereo with six-disc CD changer is loud and crisp enough to play your favorite tunes at triple-digit speeds, but we all really know your favorite soundtrack comes from the side pipes.

It was thought that the 8.3-liter fuel-injected V10 in the Viper couldn't get any better, but that was until Heffner Performance got its hands on the motor. We have the receipts to show that $50k was invested in rebuilding and reinforcing the motor with a 850 hp package, including forged aluminum pistons, Clevite rod bearings, a full balance assembly, and much more. This was to get it ready for the twin turbo power. The result is a dyno tested 721 horsepower at the rear wheels as 7 lbs of boost. The transmission was switched to Rossler heavy duty build of a 200r4 four-speed automatic to properly handle the extra power. Plus, with a beefy limited slip rear end, big four-wheel disc brakes w/ABS, and a fully independent suspension, this super snake doesn't bite back as hard as its monster power would suggest.

This is a roadster that is amazing fun from the start and has a rare pedigree that will continue to build its ultra-desirable status in the classic circles. When you get to the car show you can even bring out the binder with the reproduction window sticker, build receipts, and dyno sheet. Plus this Viper comes with the original 6 speed manual transmission as well as other stock parts. This is serious power for the modern muscle car connoisseur. Don't miss out, call today!
