1968 Mercury Montego MX Convertible
Mercury Montego is Mercury's version of the Ford Torino. Only 3000 + convertibles were produced.
Factory burgundy in color with a 302 cubic inch V8 with Ford C4 automatic trans and power steering.
Purchased in California in early 2003. Car has been in storage essentially since then, although it did receive a paint job with original factory color. All original, except for Eldelbrock Manifold and Carb, with no rust. Has white convertible top in fair condition with a new hydraulic actuation pump. Black vinyl interior with red carpeting. Carpeting has probably been replaced. No radio and minor trim missing from trunk and right front fender.
The car is a very good cruiser for local shows as is, and a very solid base for restoration.
