2004 Panoz Esperante finished in Red Metallic with a Tan Leather
interior. Powered by a hand-built Ford 4.6L V8 engine producing
320hp/315lb-ft of torque and backed by a 4-Speed Automatic
transmission. Panoz came out of the early 90's with a roadster that
took some time to take off. The first car for the company wasn't
delivered until February of 2001, but it dazzled many. Not long
after, they started releasing limited edition versions of their
cars. This version was the first year offering of the new 4-speed
automatic transmission. Pair that with Ford's hand-built 4.6L V8,
and you have a pretty modest 1/4 mile time of 13.7 seconds at
103mph and a 0-60mph time of 5 seconds, quick enough to make an
everyday drive exhilarating. The body is long and flowing and the
body panels were shaped by a superplastic process that was adapted
from the aerospace industry. Panoz states that the superplastic
process led to a stronger body panel that was less susceptible to
dents and created a more effective paint acceptance surface. The
flowing lines lead you into beautiful hand-sewn leather bucket
seats with wood trim. Gauges were centered instead of in front of
the driver, and the overall look of the car captured attention from

an Aerospace SPF aluminum body and a carbon-fiber composite body
structure. Colored in a merlot/burgundy finish over a light tan
