Vehicle Description
Slick paint meets real wood to make a terrific total custom package
on this 1940 Ford pickup. And when you see the custom interior and
big blower V8 power, you soon realize this is the kind of
thoughtful build you'd do to if you started from scratch.
The 1940 Ford pickup is already a great place to start with a
custom build. The teardrop headlight surrounds, waterfall grille,
and large bumper are all part of the classic car-like deign and
shine. And everything from the sporty rear fenders to the slick
maroon paint continue this hot rod-like appeal. But as you notice
elements like the ridges in the sheetmetal and the real wood in the
bed, you realize that this still retains a great classic pickup
feeling, no matter how much metallic element radiates from the
paint.
There's a gray cover for the truck bed, and that color was very
intentional. You understand this the moment you open the door. The
door panels, headliner, and seats are all finished in a great gray
and maroon two-tone to coordinate with the exterior. And more than
just look terrific, it's a comfortable cloth you'll love to run
your hands across. An updated machine like this comes with the best
in updated features like cruise control, a third brake light,
AM/FM/cassette stereo, and provisions for R134a air conditioning.
So you'll love slipping behind the leather-wrapped steering wheel
and watching the full VDO gauge package do its dance.
Under the hood is a 350 cubic-inch V8 dressed exactly how you want
to see it - with plenty of shine and performance hardware. After
all, the air topper, valve covers, alternator, and copper-colored
top of the aluminum radiator all give this plenty of flair. And
everyone knows what a blower looks like on top of a V8. So that
B&M Forced Induction unit adds plenty of air, and the big
Edelbrock 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor mixes in plenty of fuel to
create some serious performance. Plus, you have other great
performance components like Edelbrock heads and shorty headers that
add power while also contributing to the rumble of the dual
exhaust. Out on the road, this performance pickup is also an easy
cruiser thanks to features like an upgraded Mustang II-style
independent front suspension, a three-speed automatic transmission,
power steering, and front disc brakes.
This is a bright build of a terrific classic Ford style. It's
everything you want, and it's ready to run right now. So don't miss
out, call today!
