Vehicle Description
1923 Ford Roadster
In the Street Rod world, they say " T-BUCKETS " are the entry level
into street rodding! This 1923 Total Performance T was built to the
highest level and quality of parts and it shows with the awards it
has amassed...its much, much more than an entry level example. It
has won the 2016 Connecticut Cabin Fever " Best of Show ", The Fred
Marattas Custom Auto Show " Best of Show ", 2017 Connecticut Cabin
Fever Car Show " Best Special Interest", 2017 Boston World of
Wheels " 1st Place ", 2018 Cabin Fever Custom Car & Motorcycle Show
" Best of Show Street Rod ", 2018 Mid Atlantic Indoor Nationals "
Outstanding Vehicle ". All these awards are the result of the
quality of the parts, fit and finish, and attention to detail.
Let's start with what gets this car down the road...sitting between
the frame rails is a 383ci Chevy crate stroker putting out
approximately 475hp according to the owner. The engine is topped
off with an Edelbrock Endurashine dual quad intake with two 500 cfm
Endurashine Edelbrock carbs, the spark to fire the fuel from those
carbs comes from a Pertronix Flame Thrower billet distributor, and
spent gasses exit thru Sanderson Roadster headers. All engine
accessories are either billet or chrome of the highest quality.
Backing up the engine is a worked over Turbo 350 automatic
transmission with a stall speed converter to control all that
engine horse power and operated by a Lokar shifter. A custom drive
shaft connects to a Currie Billet 9" rear packed with a Currie
center section and axles. The front and rear suspension are hung
with custom hair pins, you have drop tube suicide axle up front
with P&J tube shocks and at the rear it's sprung with coil
overs. Stopping this car is easy with Wilwood calipers and rotors
at all four corners. Now let's look at the mile-deep paint and the
attention to detail of the body and finish. Moving to the interior
you'll find some of the finest black leather upholstery with red
stitching covering the contour style bucket seat insert and side
panels. Rounding out the interior is a full set of the finest
Stewart Warner black face gauges, and the steering column angle was
redesigned for better driving comfort. If a T-Bucket is on your
"Bucket List" this is the one for you.
