Vehicle Description
Super solid and exceptional 1967 Chevrolet C10 Custom Long Bed
Pickup! One repaint with only 51,000 miles showing on the odometer!
Original RPO sticker in glove box indicates it was nicely equipped
with all the factory options still present today! A great driver
with a rebuilt 283ci V8 engine, new exterior paint, tires, shocks,
exhaust, brakes, and more! The truck market continued to enter the
late 1960's with the same influence as the traditional auto
designers. Buyers expected a little more for their money, so more
options continued to be added to the traditional order form. This
also prompted the second generation Chevrolet trucks to be
re-engineered with better road suspension and more modern looks.
Once completed, the fresh "Action Line" design was exceptionally
popular, especially with a long options list available! Offered
here is a 1967 Chevrolet C10 Custom pickup originally finished in
factory two-tone Torch Red with White roof powered by a 283ci
V8-2bbl and 3-speed column-shifted manual transmission. Factory
options include heavy duty front & rear springs, chrome front &
rear bumpers, Custom Comfort & Convenience Equipment, Custom Group,
speed warning indicator, Panoramic Cab with large rear window,
chromed hubcaps, Delco AM pushbutton radio, deluxe heater, junior
RV-style mirrors, and more! The Pampered Life Of This1967
Chevrolet C10 Custom Long Bed Pickup This truck has lived a rather
pampered life and has seen only one repaint since new! It sold new
from Gene Jantzen Chevrolet here in St. Louis, MO on March 7th,
1967 to M.F. Tilley. It is unknown how long Mr. Tilley maintained
ownership with the documentation provided. We do know the original
WA-coded engine was replaced with another correct cast, rebuilt
1967 WA-code engine in 1992 when the odometer showed just 19,405
miles. We believe this truck sat for many years unused and likely
ignored in dry storage. It then made its way to its owner, Charlie
DeClue, who was responsible for the exterior repaint in
approximately 2010, and later cared for by Rolf Wellman who added
all new dual exhaust, new shocks at all four corners, and new
Hankook Optimo whitewall radial tires in 2015. The Museum recently
purchased this truck from Mr. Wellman and replaced all the brake
shoes along with new hardware, new rear wheel cylinders, new air
cleaner housing & fresh filter, new valve covers with gaskets, new
engine oil & filter, driveshaft carrier bearing, back up light
switch, replacement dash pad, along with a few other interior
refurbishments. We really couldn't be more pleased with the overall
appearance and drivability of this wonderful Custom 10 long bed
pickup! It will come with original owner's manual, factory warranty
booklet with Protect-O-Plate, delivery inspection checklist sheet,
glove box SPID sticker, and some past registration and ownership
documentation. We feel this is priced to sell quickly and ask all
interested parties to call with questions or to schedule a chance
to see it firsthand! Check out all of our classic cars | Download
