Vehicle Description
This 2002 BMW M Coupe is the final year of a short run of cars
built just for us enthusiasts. So when you can find such a
beautifully and well-preserved example of what's truly the ultimate
version of The Ultimate Driving Machine, then you know this is the
loaded performance car just for you.
Black Sapphire Metallic is an awesome factory color to have. It
makes this performance coupe as slippery as midnight. And because
this is a one-owner garage-kept modern classic, the factory paint
still has an amazing gloss and shine. This one absolutely earns its
aggressive elements like the sporty bodykit, quad exhaust tips, and
the wide rear fenders that conceal the wide rubber on 17-inch M
wheels. After all, there is no tame version of the M Coupe. These
were strictly built as performance cars, and so they took many of
the components from the Z3/M Roadster and built a strong body
around it. And those who love the history of the shooting brake
designs know how rare the body style usually is. In fact, this
already has rarity. There were only about 350 M Coupes produced in
2002, it's final year (less than 3,000 were made for the world over
its whole production run.) And when you look at the options, this
one's rarity gets down into double digits!
As a true modern classic BMW, the interior the perfect mix of
luxury in a driver-focused layout. It starts with a pair of leather
bucket seats that are deeply bolstered and power adjust to give you
the perfect driving position. The steering wheel is exceptionally
grippy in your left hand, and the short-throw shifter falls to
exactly where your right one wants to be. The center console layout
is a driver's work of art as the auxiliary gauges get as much space
as the air conditioning controls. Plus, the AM/FM/CD stereo has
been upgraded to provide modern conveniences like XM, HD, and
Bluetooth. And the luxuries don't end there, because this coupe
comes loaded with power windows, power locks, heated seats, and a
power sunroof. And because this is a modern classic, you also get
great safety features like dual front airbags, side airbags, and
anti-lock brakes.
This later M Coupe means it shares the same desirable S54
powerhouse as the contemporary M3. And we all know how much of a
legend that car is today. The 3.2-liter DOHC inline-six is the
original motor to the car, and people know it's true by the level
of cleanliness and factory pieces still in the engine bay. This
fuel-injected powerhouse is an absolute dream as it develops well
over 300 horsepower. The five-speed manual works in conjunction
with the German-engineered six to make sure that this coupe can
instantly go from commuter tame to track day wild with just a
downshift. And the reason why this is so adaptable is because the
suspension is also ready for anything. BMW's motorsport division
(the "M" in M Coupe) modified this fully independent suspension.
This works with the huge four-wheel disc brakes, power steering,
Dynamic Stability Control system (can be turned off, too), and
modern performance tires to deliver the kind of experience that
will leave you all smiles.
The sale comes complete with the original dealer invoice, owner's
manual, and maintenance records. It's everything you want in an
instant classic. And while rarity and power often equal value over
the long run, we also won't blame you for adding miles to the low
odometer. After all, that's what owning an M Coupe is all about. So
if you're a true enthusiast, don't miss this one. Call today!!!
