Vehicle Description
Unbelievable, this car was born this way!Documented by Pontiac
Historical Services. $100,000 total body off frame restoration.
Extremely desirable colors and options. Not only is it the optional
tri-power but it is th H.O. tri-power with 376 hp. I would have bet
$100 this car was not born this way because it is to good to be
true. The owner has had the car for 33 years and told me yes, it is
original. I verified it by ordering the PHS docs. To say I was
pleasantly surprised would be an understatement.
The restoration was completed 2012 and less then 200 miles have
been put on the car since. There are invoices for over $75,000 of
the work. The motor was rebuilt, bored and balanced. Rebuilt carbs,
rebuilt trans, rebuilt front end, rebuilt power steering. Long list
of new parts- brakes, heater core, shocks, springs, fuel tank and
sender and so much more. It is dialed in, even all new bulbs in the
dash.
Underneath is restored and detailed. The frame and suspension is
powder coated. Motor compartment is restored. Trunk compartment is
restored- spatter painted, new liner. Interior is restored and
detailed. New seat cushions, deluxe wheel etc. Body and paint are
outstanding, the fit and finish is show quality. Restored chrome
and trim, new weatherstrips and window seals. New 8 lug wheels.
1965 is an outstanding year for Pontiac style. The 66 lost a lot of
chrome in and out. Headlight bezels, dash gauges are really cool.
The 2+2 is the big brother to the GTO. This must be one of the best
examples in the country!
