1963 Jaguar XKE Series 1 Roadster
Offered for sale is a "one of a kind" Series 1 Jaguar XKE Roadster.
"They're only original once" and this XKE presents a rare
opportunity to be one of the few to own an unrestored and fabulous
driving example of this iconic sports car.
The owner has done a magnificent job of making the E an even better
performance car by adding a 5-speed transmission, larger electric
radiator fan, larger disc brakes, and numerous other upgrades.
However, and best of all, he has kept every single component that
was removed in order to preserve the original provenance of the XKE
should you wish to put it back to "dead stock." The car has gone
through a complete mechanical refreshing and runs and drives like
it did in 1963.
The seats have been recovered and shifter boot replaced. The rest
of the interior remains original as delivered. The car also retains
its original cloth soft top and boot cover. The original and
complete tool kit is present as are the original books. The car is
matching numbers as documented by the Heritage Trust Certificate
which illustrates the XKE's original build order and serial numbers
for body, transmission and engine.
The Opalescent Silver Gray paint is original to car showing an
aging patina but has been untouched since the Jag's build date in
1963. The original miles are just over 66K and has been routinely
serviced throughout its life by one of finest E-type restoration
shops in the country. This Series 1 E-type truly represents the
meaning of a survivor and runs and drives the way it did when
driven off the showroom floor.
