Vehicle Description
Named in commemoration of the very talented Canadian driver who
achieved a substantial amount of success for Corvette on the racing
circuit and configured to recreate the look of the very car he
drove, this 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows Edition is a
rare find indeed. It's not only a legitimate collectible - it's
also a top tier performer that's decked out with an undeniably cool
look.
The group of visual cues that help set this 'Vette apart from its
more common counterparts - the special edition chrome rims, the
striping that so effectively complements its Arctic White exterior,
and the matching white headlight casings up front - are more than
just branding elements. They're aesthetic choices that really WORK,
transforming an already very cool-looking car into something even
more unique, as if it were not just a special edition but an
entirely different model while still bearing the eminently
recognizable Corvette lines and curvature. This Z06 has obviously
benefitted from a particularly sheltered life, as its paint is in
enviable shape and sports a nice even clearcoat to give it a
convincing shine from all angles, and those signature stripes
across the front fenders are still showing crisp, clear lines.
Considering 10 years have gone by since it rolled off the assembly
line, it's been a lightly used car, with only a little over 43,000
miles under its proverbial belt and that freshness really
shows.
Open the door and slide into the driver's seat and you'll be in the
midst of a truly impressive black and red interior - by any
measure, it's a great looking, driver-centric environment on
display here. Everything's in great shape, too - those contoured,
heated buckets don't even show the normally-encountered creases
across their bolsters and the gauges up front are as easily
readable behind their crystal-clear cluster lens as they were when
this Chevy first saw the light of day. The low-profile shifter sits
within easy reach on a very clean center console framed with carbon
graphite and looking as if it's been protected from any use at all.
Look a little closer at the console and you'll see a welcome
feature - just above the AM/FM/CD system is a navigation system
with a pop-up screen to help guide you on your journeys. There's a
surprising amount of shoulder room and with a steering column that
both tilts AND telescopes, it's very easy to find your perfect
driving position. All the comfort features you'd want are right
here, including A/C that's blowing with convincing force, cruise
control and power seats, windows and door locks. The trunk area in
back is surprisingly roomy and is lined with fresh-looking
carpeting bearing Corvette's "Z06" badging.
This Z06 has been left in stock configuration and with good reason
- when you have a Chevy LS7 7.0 liter V8 able to churn out a full
505 horsepower sitting under the hood, you're pretty much set in
the performance department. Combined with a 6-speed manual
transmission, this is one seriously potent drivetrain, able to
propel this relatively light 'Vette to a sub-4 second 0-60 time. On
top of all that power, you'll enjoy dual mode exhaust that, with
the included controller, opens and closes butterfly valves in the
inner exhaust tips to either quiet things down or allow for full
effect. Very cool! And when situations require stopping in short
order you'll be covered, as the Corvette 4 wheel power disc brake
system is well-regarded and dissipates heat very effectively with
its oversized rotors.
Paperwork includes the original window sticker, owner's manual and
dealer invoice, so you can put them in your portfolio with your
stock certificates. But the real bottom line is that someone paid a
fortune to own this most rare of Z06s, and now it's your chance to
score a bargain. Call today!
