Launched in 2002 and produced through 2006, the Ferrari 575
Maranello was essentially an updated 550 model featuring
Pininfarina styling upgrades as well as interior updates, bigger
disc brakes, larger and more powerful engine, refined aerodynamics
and adaptive suspension. Transmissions were offered in both manual
6-speed and F1 automatic configurations. The 575 model refers to
engine displacement in liters while the "M" nomenclature refers to
"Modified." In 2005 the "Superamerica" version was offered with a
targa style sliding top.
Powered by a 5.75-liter V-12 engine the 575 produced 508hp at 7,250
rpm. Maximum speed was 202 mph and 0-60 times of 4.2 seconds.
