Stk 2400 1989 Mustang LX
When a Mustang has the bold look of this fully restored
convertible, it is hard to call it a 'sleeper'. However, that is
the case with this custom LX. Under the striking exterior is a
potent powerplant that has received a lot of attention. The rebuilt
302 was stroked to 347ci before the evolution began. A Vortec
supercharger with 60# injectors was installed. The resulting charge
is delivered to Trick Flow heads, fired by an MSD ignition and
exits through full tube headers. The stroker motor is backed by a
4-speed automatic (rebuilt w/warranty) and posi-traction
differential with 3.73:1 gearing. The resulting dyno reading is 420
rwhp - this is one stout pony. The LX received a stunning re-spray
of basecoat red w/gold flames followed by 5-coats of clear. A
custom fiberglass hood was installed and the exterior door handles
were shaved. The power convertible top is new and polished American
Racing alloys mount 17" Z-rated radials. The original burgundy
interior is in very good condition and features include: A/C,
Autometer gauges, power-tinted windows, tilt wheel, cruise, power
locks and an AM/FM/CD stereo. The chassis is equipped with power
steering and power disc/drum brakes (new). Front suspension is
MacPherson struts along with coil springs in the rear. This
carefully restored custom Mustang is a well thought-out package
that runs strong and will look great in your garage. ALL VEHICLES
