Late 20's and early 30's Ford was the choice of many Fire
Departments for durability, dependability and economics. Open
cockpit fire trucks were popular to give full view of the fire at
hand and for versatility for the firemen. Loaded with all the
options of the time! This beautiful open cockpit firetruck
experienced a most complete frame off body up no expense spared
restoration. It carries period correct list of equipment. A very
rare running board search light and spartan siren are highlights.
Body has all new wood, new interior (black leatherette), 4 custom
built oak finished ladders. Body clad in vermillion red with black
trim and fenders. Bed is new valsparo varnished oak. All equipment
from copper extinguisher to firemans axe, spartan siren are cleaned
and restored. New old stock reel and white hose and nozzle. All
chrome and bright work show quality, 5 new wide white Firestone
tires on red wheels accent the truck. Engine rebuilt for unleaded
fuel. Transmission open and rebuilt as needed along with rear end,
new brakes and more. Runs and drives as new. Rear bib and step pad
for 2 firemen - copper hand rail. Has all appropriate gold color
stripe, door badges and chief No 1 on hood. A wonderful parade
vehicle or a very unusual piece for the high end man cave. Believed
