History
The Chevrolet Chevy II/Nova was a small automobile manufactured by
Chevrolet, and produced in five generations for the 1962 through

Nova becoming the nameplate for the 1969 through 1979 models. The
1972 Nova received only minor trim changes.
Why This Car Is Special
The 1972 Chevrolet Nova we have at Skyway Classics is just the sort
of car a lot of us had back then, we did not leave them stock! We
fixed them up to be faster, attract more attention than the one in
the next lane, and drive us around in style.
Ours fits all of those categories as it has attitude with its
custom paint and stripping, great power, and awesome wheels and
tires.
Mechanical Specs
When you open the hood you will see a 383 cubic-inch stroker small
block Chevy engine that has been modded with a lot of parts
including chrome air cleaner, alternator, and valve covers, a
polished includes aluminum heads, hi-rise performance intake, and
Holley four-barrel carburetor, a Champion aluminum radiator, MSD
ignition, long tube headers, performance ignition and spark plug
wires, performance fuel delivery system, and dual exhaust.
The engine compartment is painted the same copper seen on the
exterior and interior. Our Nova has all the power going into the
Chevy #8642547-3 700 R4-three-speed automatic transmission, and the
braking and handling enhanced via the power steering and front disc
brakes.
Interior
The interior is set off with black & white theme as the two-tone
custom buckets in the front and rear bench seat all match the door
panels, headliner and carpeting. The white dash has cool copper
accents too. Finally, a B&M shifter handles the power shifting
chores as you steer by the factory two-spoke steering wheel while
gazing at the gauge package.
Exterior
The 1972 Nova body is painted in white with metallic copper sports
stripes. Take a closer look at the chrome Rally wheels with great
tires as well as the hood vents, blacked-out grille and rear panel,
and addition of SS badging.
