Vehicle Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 19th year in the
classic and muscle car business. The 1957 Chevrolet has been such a
popular car for so many years that we've seen just about every
engine/transmission combination turn up in these classics. Of all
the drivetrain pairings that have thrilled us over the years, this
1957 210 has just about the perfect blend of cachet, performance,
and rugged reliability. The first part of this dynamic duo is a
Smeding Performance Chevy 383 Extreme stroker motor that develops
458hp and 473 lb./ft. of torque (dyno sheet included). This
sweet-sounding powerhouse is loaded with high-quality components
including a new GM block with 4-bolt mains, high-grade 4340 forged
steel crankshaft, 4340 forged steel rods, high silicon
hypereutectic aluminum pistons with graphite coated skirts,
reworked Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads with 2.02/1.60
valves, a custom ground hydraulic roller cam with heat treated
lobes, an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap aluminum intake manifold,
a Holley 780 cfm carburetor, MSD ignition, and very nice headers.
Backing this impressive mill is a truly rare and legendary Muncie
M22 'rock crusher' 4-speed manual transmission. You will not find a
manual transmission with a more positive engagement or a more
precise feel. Here's an interesting detail; during the frame-off
restoration the frame was actually hot dip galvanized (!), making
it virtually rust-proof. The body is in excellent condition with
good chrome, trim, and glass and features some added Bel Air trim.
The beautiful interior is sporting custom fabrics, an uncut dash,
auxiliary gauges, and a modern sound system as well as amenities
such as power front disc brakes and Vintage Air air conditioning.
This is one of those cases where the whole is even greater than the
sum of its (impressive) parts. Fast, fun, and gorgeous, this car
has a lot to brag about. Street Dreams is a full service dealership
