Vehicle Description
Very rare. 90-95% original Vincent comet with all factory build,
test and dispatch documents. All numbers match, upper and lower
frame, engine with Vincent owner's club certification. The bike has
a clear and clean California title not just a bill of sale. The
production numbers make this a 1951 but the California title shows
model year of 1953. DMV in CA recognizes the December 1951 as year
of production and 53 as model year for as far as the records go
back. It is a 1951 model according to VOC This Vincent has had four
owners. This was a special order and shipment bike as it was sold
and shipped directly from Vincent Motorcycles, not through a
distributor, to a British gent who worked for an oil services
company in Venezuela. That gent brought it with him to California
when he left working for the oil company in Venezuela. This is a
very rare collectible Vincent. Everything works and nothing needs
repair to our knowledge. The new owner will need to go through a
start up procedure. Very strong motor, transmission, magneto etc.
All gauges & lights work. It has not run for over two years. If you
have ever been searching for a Vincent with complete documents,
matching numbers and less the tires and new seat original then here
is your chance. The bike has a few small chips in the paint as
could be expected. Older epoxy tank sealer which is 100% intact and
