A true survivor! This one owner 1980 Pontiac Trans Am only has
12,893 original miles on it and still smells like it did when it
was on the dealer's lot. Special editions 1980 Trans Ams typically
came with the black exterior and a brown interior, but not this
special ordered one. The owner did not like the way the brown
interior contrasted with gold spun dash and was somehow able to get
this one with black interior which looks much better with the gold
spun inserts found in the special edition cars. This very well
could be the only 1980 Trans Am that had this color combination.
The car was lightly enjoyed and always garage kept over its whole
life. The 1980 Pontiac Trans Am was the first turbo V8 car that was
ever produced by an American manufacturer and was very quick for
its day. The producers of the "Smokey and the Bandit 2" used this
same style car for their feature car. This special edition car was
ordered with the high-performance suspension upgrade that had
4-wheel disc brakes, larger sway bars and stiffer springs to help
this car really squat and stick to the road in hard cornering or
launches. This car was special ordered exactly the way the owner
wanted it including; AM/FM radio with a cassette player, power
brakes, cruise control, power steering, air conditioning (needs
recharge), high-performance suspension package, and T-tops. This
car is ALL ORIGINAL and in excellent condition. How original you
ask? So original that it still has the original tire from the
factory on it. You will not find another special edition Trans Am
