Gateway Classic Cars has just consigned a really unusual car with
this 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado for sale in our Scottsdale showroom.
This was the first year for this truly innovative technology that
engineers shared between the Oldsmobile and Cadillac divisions to
bring FWD to their model line-up. Although this car has an amateur
paint job of the original color, Frost Green, it could use a bit of
refining to make it look its best. The rest of the car has many new
mechanical components like a rebuilt engine and transmission, new
steering gear, new battery, alternator, water pump, and more. It's
a very reliable driver and was recently driven quite a distance to
bring it in to consign. The heat and A/C even work. The green
interior is a nice complement to the exterior. Although the car
needs some final tinkering to get everything in perfect cosmetic
and working order, this classic Olds can be driven reliably now
while you work on getting it perfect. These first-gen Toronados are
starting to get noticed by collectors and are rising in price
because these cars offer unique styling not seen at GM during that
time period. Buy this one before they get too expensive. You're
guaranteed not to see another one at the local cruise night, but
you'll get everyone's attention when you pull up in it. For more
