Extremely nice Triumph with original drivetrain and 46,410 original miles. Body and paint are in exceptional condition with one repaint. The interior is as nice as the exterior with all gauges and instruments working with the exception of the blower motor. The car does have a few minor conditions; minor oil drips from the engine and rear differential and even though the TR6 drives well, a front end suspension rebuild kit is included. These are the only known defects on this Triumph.
This 1974 TR6 was with the second owner for 34 years and driven 26,512 miles. Meticulous and detailed records and all receipts from his ownership are included in the sale. The 2.5L inline-six is equipped with dual Stromberg carburetors and paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. The exterior is finished in white and has one prior repaint. The red stripe on the nose was painted on and Union Jack/TR6 badges are present at the rear corners. The refinished 15″ steel wheels wear fresh Red Line tires. The interior looks to be well-kept, and the car features a new Robbins black top with a plastic rear window and all new snaps. During the body repaint, the interior was removed and floors were painted and heat shield insulation was added to floors, firewall, and inner doors. While being repainted, the windshield frame was removed, refinished, and new glass and gaskets were installed. All body rubber was replaced at that time along with door seals and window felt. With the interior removed the throttle shaft was refinished and new bushings installed. The old seat belts were replaced with new lap belts. The kidney pads were reinforced for the installation of speakers. The trunk is totally rust free and has been refreshed with new panels and carpet. The brake booster and master cylinder are new as are the clutch hydraulics. There are new rear wheel cylinders and hardware as well as all brake hoses. A Moss major front suspension kit is included but has not yet been installed. Upgraded rear differential mounts have been installed along with the differential inputs seal and the transmission output seal. The exhaust is stainless steel Tourist Trophy from the original exhaust manifold to the dual mufflers and sounds fantastic when paired with the electronic ignition installed in the original distributor. Countless small parts and hardware have been replaced during our time with this car and all receipts are present.
This Triumph is truly one of the nicest one around; it looks and drives excellent. It is a car that you can be proud to own and drive.
