Rare Survivor! Numbers matching! 1969 Buick GS 400 Stage 1, in excellent condition. I have decided to sell my highly documented jewel. I am the third owner of this beautiful example of muscle car history. The original owner sold this car to his nephew, who was the second owner. I purchased it 4 years ago, I am the third owner. My Buick GS Stage 1, is one of only 1256 Stage1 cars produced in 1969 and only 1 of 832 Hard tops, nick named the "Judge Killer". They were designed and built to out perform the GTO Judge. My Stage 1, spent all of its life in California until I purchased it and has no rust. The original owners knew what they purchased and kept all of the original purchase documentation, including the original invoice, Protecto plate/warranty, build sheet, etc. Along with invoices of maintenance, repairs and old parts throughout the years. My Stage 1 still has the original 400 engine rated at 350 HP and runs terrific, with no strange noises, no leaks, no smoke. It still has the original TH-400 transmission (Rebuilt at 110,216 miles) and original 3.42 rear differential (serviced at the same time). The mileage of 116,000 is the original miles. My Stage 1 has air conditioning (compressor rebuilt at same time 110,216 miles), the heater core was also rebuilt at the same time. Also done at this time was a new radiator, carburetor rebuild, water pump, thermostat, clutch fan, battery, belts, fuel filter, braided fuel lines, brakes, alternate, voltage regulator, KYB shocks, new spark plugs and wires, 40 series Flowmaster exhaust, new drive shaft and joints, new cool air intake foam gasket, wheels and tires. This is some of the more recent maintenance work performed. I have a thick 3 ring binder of documentation of everything that has been done throughout the years, that will be included as part of the sale. I have yet to find another all original and documented GS 400 Stage 1, that has not been radically altered in some way, or in the excellent condition as this one. This car could be a daily driver, but is best said to be a wonderful investment quality classic muscle car. The only alteration is an OEM replacement Edelebrock intake 2146, the original intake will go with the sale of the car. My Stage 1 has had one repaint with around 3000 miles on it, the paint has an excellent mirror shine and shows very well. The interior is complete and original and in very good condition. All the instruments, gauges, lights, horn, wipers and electric antenna, all still work as they should. Anyone interested in purchasing my Stage 1, please do some research for another all original and documented 1969 Stage 1. If you find one, please email, text or call me with a link or info.
