Vehicle Description
Stk 2398 1962 Ford Galaxie
This 1962 Ford Galaxie has experienced a frame-off restoration with
mechanical upgrades. The white respray w/pinstripping is in very
good condition and both bumpers have been re-chromed. Period
correct 15" steel wheels with trim rings and 'dog-dish' hubcaps
accent the Galaxie's classic appearance. The interior has been
completely restored - late-model bucket seats were installed and
the vinyl work is excellent. There is a nice custom wheel and full
gauge package w/tach. Muscle is provided by a 438ci FE engine that
was professionally built in 2012 by J&G Racing Engines,
Spokane, WA. J&G began with a 390ci block, bored it .030 over,
installed a Scat Stroker Kit and balanced the rotating assembly. It
is fitted with Edelbrock ported aluminum heads, an aluminum intake
w/770cfm Holley, Sanderson steel headers and a 7-quart oil pan.
Exhaust exits through a free-flowing system with cross-over pipe.
The transmission is a C6 automatic that transfers power to a Ford
9" differential with 3.08:1 gearing. (An additional set of 3.50:1
gears is included.) Rear wheel dyno horsepower has been measured at
300+. Brakes are power-assisted drum. The solid chassis and
underside were coated with bedliner sealant for protection and
soundproofing. This is a well thought-out street machine. It is
ready to be enjoyed by someone who appreciates early 60's Blue
Ovals. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
