For Sale: 1981 Chevrolet El Camino in Kingsville, Ontario

Vehicle Description

My wife & I have a passion for beautiful classic cars that have been well cared for . 4 years ago we purchased this El Camino from a gentleman who brought it in from inland Florida in 1994. Mechanically it had been well cared for with an engine rebuild of only 14000 miles when we purchased it. The transmission , front end , brakes, etc had also been restored. I have a binder full of documentation on all of the work that was done. In fact to certify it we took it through an exhaustive process and only 2 issues came up- a burnt out tail light bulb and an emergency brake cable adjustment.

This car was rock solid and had no rust , but it did have the original interior and paint. The only part that was not original was the hood, which the previous owner replaced because of a dent .We could see  the potential and did a meticulous restoration , stripping the paint down to bare metal , sprayed a fresh primer base , and gave it an $8000 dollar paint job to create the beauty that you see in the pictures. We stripped the interior down to bare metal as well and followed that up with a fresh (and very expensive) hand sewn custom interior with piping and seat belts that match the exterior.

When the seats and door panels were removed we found two of the original build sheets. The one under the carpet was in very poor condition and could not be salvaged , but the other is in very good condition and can be seen in pictures.

We finished it off with a new BF Goodrich tires , new 5 spoke alloy rims ,and a nice smokey window tint . The AM/FM cassette stereo works like new and there is a huge amplifier behind the back seat . It has a working power antenna as well. I have attached before and after photos and have many more if you are interested in seeing them.

The car also has headers and stainless dual exhaust .The rebuilt 350 engine has an Edelbrock intake and a new Holley 4 bbl carb and the only work done was a chrome dress up kit to freshen it up. It also had a new battery installed last fall. This car purrs like a kitten.

We have almost 25K invested into this vehicle and have almost every bill/receipt from 1994 until present.

If you are looking for a very beautiful and dependable classic car that is made for cruising all day long then this is your car. I have all of the restoration photos from start to finish to show the quality workmanship that went into this vehicle. This car turns heads everywhere it goes.

The car is located in Kingsville , Ontario which is 35 minutes south of Detroit . The car is originally from the US and it is an easy process to return it. We recently sold our 1941 Plymouth Coupe on this same website and continue to downsize our collection as retirement approaches.

Call me on my cell if you would like to discuss how this beauty can be yours. The listed price is in USD .

Thank you for your interest.
