Vehicle Description
1964 Pontiac Catalina. This frame off restored example is finished
off with outstanding dark bright teal poly base coat clear coat
metallic paint. At time of restoration, a '74 400 cubic inch
Pontiac engine was selected to replace the original 389 (original
389 available to the new owner). Opting for the 400 engine gives
you basically a 389 engine that is bored .060 over and has more
robust cylinder heads i.e. better valve angle, bigger ports, bigger
valves, screw in studs, guide plates, and better combustion
chamber. A turbo hydromatic M-40 transmission was also installed to
complete the upgrade. Excellent body shows no scratches, bubbles,
or fading. Laser straight body panels adorn beautiful stainless
bright work and emblems. No pitting or flaws in the magnificent
grille that sets this awesome car apart from the rest. Re-chromed
bumpers add the finishing touch. This amazing automobile floats
along on its new radial white wall tires and Pontiac Rally wheels.
Equipped with power steering, power brakes and power convertible
top (with new boot). Open the long sleek doors to expose a gorgeous
ebony interior and like new black carpet with floor mats. Your eyes
will be quickly drawn to the chrome accented dash housing all
working gauges, switches, and AM radio. A chrome plated switch
conveniently located on the dash begs the driver to play, one touch
of the switch and the new black convertible top effortlessly
retracts and settles into place. You will be cruising topless as
this gutsy 400 cubic inch Pontiac V/8 and a turbo hydromatic
transmission reliably takes you to the next car show to collect
your newest trophy. Getting a car to this level takes time and
countless dollars! Showing 640 miles since restored. The work is
done on this one. Purchase and enjoy the thumbs up every where you
go!
