The Vette was back!!! With a hiatus for model year '83, Chevrolet
was waiting to debut their all new C4 Corvette with retro styling,
superior handling and performance increases and a futuristic
electronic dash that made you feel that you were ready to blast to
the moon via the Space Shuttle. This new model was straight from
the '80's with better aerodynamics and more user friendly cockpit
and features.
This incredibly low mileage (5,249) Corvette showcases itself very
nicely and is destined for someone's collection if not Bowling
Green. There is no debate that the C4 was a game changer for the
Vette, but also the early C4's were a little sluggish and with some
dated performance features that the early 90's cleaned up. But once
again you are buying this car for the miles! Low miles such as this
is very difficult to find let alone in a first model year of a
brand new series of vehicles.
Sold new out of Ed Rinke Chevrolet-GMC on November 15th 1984 to Mr.
Richard Doepfer who registered the vehicle in Rochester Michigan.
The car then was sold in 1996 to another individual owner in
Michigan where it remained in his care till recently acquired by
us. The car shows very nice in all original condition with zero
modifications to the interior, exterior, engine, or cosmetically.
Vehicle was optioned from the factory with some nice features such
as; power driver seat, cruise control, power door locks, 16in
wheels, tilt and telescope steering wheel, electric rear defrost,
power side mirrors, Delco premium stereo with cassette and the very
important and fairly rare Z51 Performance Handling package with the
3.07 rear end and high performance suspension. The paint shines
nicely and the removable top comes off nicely along with all
features working along with a bright dash without any of the
crystals burnt out. Tires are in great shape and vehicle fires up
without any hesitation.
Vehicle comes with original bill of sale, factory owner's manual,
service booklet, Corvette catalog, clean CarFax and the Delco
cassette tape and factory wheel locks. Duplicating this car would
just about be impossible as there were only 51,547 produced for
1984 and only 12,942 in this color and probably less than 5 that
have miles like this!
