A very special 1970 Candy Apple Red, award winning, Mustang Mach 1.
This pretty pony was purchased for the previous owner's sweet 16th
birthday and she owned the car most of her adult life, not once,
but twice.
She was married and sold the car because family came first and they
needed a larger vehicle. After selling the car to a family friend,
the car went through an extensive 7 year restoration process and
was repainted a beautiful shade of correct Candy Apple red. The
good husband found out that the family friend was considering
selling it and he bought it for his wife's 35th birthday, so she
received a Mustang pony car on both birthdays. This beautiful
Mustang became the family's pride and joy and was a cherished
member of the family. They took it to many car shows and events and
received best of show and over 32 trophies in all. American Dream
Machines was very fortunate to be able to buy this special car with
great owner history. Now, for the car: the car was restored several
years ago, but has held up extremely well because of the care and
maintenance of the car. The restorer had a great, well preserved
metal body to start with. The car was completely disassembled and
restored the right way with a lot of new chrome and trim. Black
Mach stripe down the hood with hood spoiler and rear spoiler. New
black
louvers were installed on the back glass for that muscle car look
and are removable for cleaning. Under the hood is is a show quality
engine comparment with the correct 351 Windsor engine with a 4
barrel carburetor, correct Ford Mustang blue air cleaner and
badging, automatic transmission, power steering and manual brakes
with a dual master cylinder that stops the car well. Very nice
comfort weave black bucket interior, automatic shifter in the
console, expensive original working rim blow steering wheel and a
black dash in like new condition. This Candy Apple Mach 1 Mustang
represents true Americana rolling on Chrome Magnum 500 wheels and
E70 Goodyear PolyGlas white letter tires that have been to a few
shows, but are still in great condition.
